Tips for yoga class

 

Bare feet

Yoga is best practiced in bare feet, normal socks can cause slipping.

Yoga mat

Yoga mats are required for class. Even for online classes a mat is recommended.

Empty stomach

Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach. If you do eat something try to give yourself at least an hour to digest before class.

Water

It’s great to have water in case you need a little during class, especially for outdoor classes in warm weather.

Towel

A small towel is great to have near by, to wipe off sweat or to use as a strap to help with binding poses.

Yoga blocks

Yoga blocks are not required, but can be a great tool.


Open space

Make sure you have enough space on all four sides of your mat to be able to extend your arms and legs.
